Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is a water treatment process where the water is completely recycled and reused. This is a closed loop cycle, so there will be no effluent water discharged into surface waters and all the solid matter is removed as a cake. ZLD process helps in water conservation by curtailing the fresh water intake.
